The entire world is in search for the most appropriate mechanism and practical solutions towards instituting durable and sustainable peace everywhere. The multitude of theoretical posits to this regard are uncountable yet, there are still severe civil unrests and ethnic wars all over the globe. Is it that there is no working solution to these problems? Is it that humanity loves the wars? Or is it that humanity is vulnerable to its own strengths and weakness?

This study, throws light on the theoretical concept of objectivism and its application within the domains of conflict resolution and peacebuilding. Acknowledging that in order to attain more effective results on peace and development initiatives, it is best to institute an objectivist approach from the individual based perspective focus, the study duly recognizes the weaknesses encroached within the strict practical applicability of the Rand’s objectivism theorem. Though the criticism, it further introduces that the most comprehensive human solidarity building values which are mutuality and reciprocity, if properly applied along with Rand’s objectivist principles, the best alternative ever reached for conflict prevention and peacebuilding prospects may become more feasible.

In an attempt to define and analyse the practical realities of womanhood within the modern scope of gender equality and the traditional rites and ordeals attached to the status of a woman who loses her husband as a result of death, we discover that not only is a widow faced or forced to live under situations which can be categorised within servitude and modern slavery dimensions but, such discriminatory widowhood practices become a major source of inflicting poverty on the poor woman and her orphaned children. Also, understood that rural development expectations especially with regards to food production depends mostly, if not solely, on the ceaseless efforts of rural women, denying them the rights to poses or hold custody over property is as such denying community development in that aspect and increasing poverty amongst the people.
